Item is electrical, do not use electrical items in the rain.
It is designed to be used outside the home using a proper outdoor electric source.
Bladed tools can cut through skin, cause penetrating injuries/minor amputations (fingers and toes).
Particularly when working on hard materials, knotted wood and fine (small) objects such as twig ends.
Increased hazard of cuts or penetrations to torso or where major blood vessels are.
Dropping items on feet, hands or other body parts that injure through blunt trauma or sharp edge.
Particularly being struck on head or face with any tool, through movement including that of others, recoil or slipping in use.
Crush injuries from heavy objects or clamping.
Power tools moving suddenly, leading to cuts or incisions. Falls from ladders or height, leading to injury.
Do not use this in the rain or on wet bushes.
Recommend wearing snug fitting clothing, sturdy footwear, safety glasses and gloves whilst operating the Hedge Trimmer - please note we don’t provide any of these items.
If trimming hedges between March-August, give them a careful check for nesting birds first! If there’s any sign of an active nest or one being built, it’s an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981 to intentionally damage or destroy the nest. See the RSPB website for more info.
Spot and report (to LoT) any defective plugs, discoloured sockets or damaged cable/equipment.
Defective equipment will be taken out of use.
Only use item for their designed purpose.
Keep item away from children, and do not let other people use them. The item was lent to you, on the premise it is used only by you and is your responsibility.
Always make sure the item is stored and/or transported in a safe manner.
Never use the item under the influence of drugs or alcohol or any prescribed medication that impairs your functioning.

Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.

By completing the Rental Transaction you’re implying that you have read, understood and accepted the risks listed.
Therefore you understand the risks involved in using this Hedge Trimmer and will return it in as good condition as it was taken.
